Age: 28
Sex: Male
Nationality: non-US
GPA: 3.5 (Economics), 3.6 (MBA)
GRE: Q/V - 167/157
Work Experience: 5 years in finance, of which 2.5 in equity research (my target area, since I will choose the Investment Management concentration)
Other: CFA, FRM

How would assess my chances? Am I already too old for the program? Any opinion would be appreciated (subjective ones are more than welcome).

I honestly think the program will deny you simply because you have way more experience then just about everyone else in the class. You also have a graduate degree.

IMO, look into post graduate programs or certs if you want additional education. With you experience, education and the CFA and FRM, you won't really be challenged in a class full of fresh UG's.
