Hey
warotph,
So your profile is pretty good as such - Your GMAT, GPA and UG rank is pretty strong.
Your social volunteering bit is pretty interesting - Especially the part about manufacturing tools for hand-paralyzed patients in Thailand. This can be one differentiating factor, so I hope you have highlighted it properly in the application.
As far as your work experience is concerned, while having full-time work experience would have been leveraging, you do seem to have gathered relevant experience through your internships and extra-curricular.
Which companies did you intern at? Having a brand name on your resume would matter a lot as you would having quantifiable achievements through these experiences.
While your profile is good, you must know that MIT is a super-competitive school with paper-thin acceptance rates.
So it actually comes down to how you have showcased your application - Have you highlighted what makes you different? Or why, despite not having full-time work ex, you know that Finance is your long term career goal?
Justifying why MIT is a good fit for you and what you bring to the table is what will determine your chances.
As I had mentioned, MIT has paper-thin acceptance rates, so I would suggest targeting more schools in Dream, Competitive and safe range.
Dream: USC Marshall, NYU Stern, LBS, Oxford.
Competitive: Duke University, Texas Mc Combs, Rochester.
Safe: IESE, SKEMA,
