Thanks TKKOH -

My main concerns are my age and the pedigree of my undergraduate education. I would feel comfortable putting the quality of my UG education up against anybody, but it just doesn't carry the brand name that other applicants will certainly have.

I'll be spending a great deal of time in the upcoming months trying to match research interests and fine-tune my SOP. I'm very confident in my recommendations, so we'll just wait and see what happens.

Why age? I'm not sure I get it.. That said, the "brand name" that _some_ (but not most) other applicants may have may be offset by your MA thesis in a related field, along with a strong SOP and recommendations. I think you stand a good chance at all those schools.

I'm doing my PhD in one of the schools that you listed.
- I was 30 when I entered the program.
- I did my UG from an uni. somewhere in the east. It has good reputation, but I don't think it is a "brand-name" sch.
- I didn't have a Master degree to show when I applied.
- I wasn't an RA for 3 professors (although I did some work with a prof for about a year being I applied).
- I was also involved in a start-up for a few years.

The only thing that I trump you is a higher GMAT - just a bit higher... around 70 points more... So I think you are in good shape.

Ok, I'm joking about the 70 points
