Hi, and thanks for writing! You have strong, progressive work experience, and congrats on that GMAT score! Regarding the GPA, you'll want to address it candidly and confidently in the optional essay.
Regarding MIT/Kellogg/Haas - it is possible that your limited work experience played a role; the typical applicant to those schools has ~4-6 years of work experience. In addition, it's great that you started volunteering with Big Brothers/Big Sisters - be sure to make it clear on your resume and application the impact you've made in the organization so far (same with your other extracurricular involvements). And in your application and interview, make sure that you're specific about why the program is right for you - what excites you about the culture, academics, and extracurricular offerings? Have you been inspired by conversations with students and alumni?
I hope that helps a bit, but feel free to write back with any other questions!

Stats
GMAT Score (include breakdown!): 770 (50Q/46V/8IR/5AWA)
Undergrad GPA: 3.25 (Started out pre-med which did not go well, then started to do better once I switched majors, but suffered a family tragedy my senior year which further hurt my grades)
MBA Info
Goal of MBA: I want to use my automotive industry knowledge to move into a strategy role with a leader in the transportation tech space (Google, Apple, Tesla, Uber, Lyft, etc.). Knowing that's a narrow niche with high barriers to entry, I would also consider other corporate strategy/corporate development jobs
Target schools: Wharton, MIT, Kellogg, Yale, Duke, Ross, Emory (with scholarship)
NOTE: I had interviews at MIT, Kellogg and Haas when I applied last year and didn't get into any. Guessing years of experience was a big factor there. Thought that might be useful info. Since applying, I've started volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and am on track to being promoted to Senior Manager before I re-apply (very few, if any, people my age make it to that level of title in my company).
