Hi dalpat9856,
Thanks for sharing your profile with us!
Given your age / years of work experience and your level of specialization in billing solutions, I definitely think that executive MBA programs (or similar accelerated programs for professionals who are farther along in their careers) are the best fit for you. To increase your chances of admission, it's important for you to be able to articulate what areas you believe you need to shore up (e.g. business strategy, corporate finance, marketing, etc.) in order to position yourself for an entrepreneurial career after you graduate. What are the gaps that you see in your own work experience? What skills or knowledge do you feel you are missing that you need to gain before you're ready to start your own business, as you say your eventual goal is? These are particularly critical questions to answer for more "mature" applicants who have several more years of work experience than the typical full-time MBA applicant.
Can you also be more specific about your entrepreneurial ambitions? Do you want to start your own company, or do you want to join a small high-growth company as a key early employee? What field(s) are you interested in? Chances are that the closer you stick to what you already know (i.e. billing solutions or similar products / services), the more persuasive your business school application will be. AdComs will find it more believable if you say you want to start a company in the field that you already know very well, rather than in a completely different industry or area.
Good luck! If you'd like to chat further, feel free to reach out to us at
