Hi
AlphaKilo,
Thank you for sharing your profile. Well, your GMAT score is quite low. I suggest that if you can improve your score by 20-30 points, you should retake GMAT. It is preferable for Indian applicants to get a higher than average score in order to enhance their chances. Try to get 720+, else you can compensate for it by making your application strong. Your participation in various events, and sharing learnings from them will give your apps a significant boost.
On the work front, your 6 years of work experience must bring strong stories. To showcase your potential and talents, you would need to demonstrate teamwork, impact, and career progression. Working in MNC will help you to amplify the impact of your initiatives. You've had some international experience (which is greatly emphasized by Kellogg, and you should be able to communicate well, otherwise no point in mentioning them). If you're going to focus primarily on your work experience, I recommend highlighting your impact on the organisations you've worked with.
Your volunteer work at an NGO will be a plus since b-schools appreciate individuals who add social value and have a long-term impact on the community. Dancing is cool! I have also created some amazing stories about it in my application for INSEAD. Likewise, you will also be able to construct. This will add diversity to your apps.
Overall, I really feel you have very good work experience, but you haven’t explained it here very well. I would like to know more about your work experience to guide you more on this. We have helped many applicants with low GMAT scores in gaining admission to top business schools. I believe that if we can create impactful stories and a very strong application, it will compensate for your low GMAT. You may want to read an article on
low gmat success story, a candidate with 690 GMAT made it to lbs. You will get some insights, and this will instill the right confidence in you
If you’d like, we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your profile in length and further chances to the schools. Feel free to
book a free session with us as per your convenience.
How to enhance your application and maximize your chances for fall intakeCheers!
