Hi Admissionado,

Kindly evaluate my profile below.

Age : 26
Indian male
Automobile engineer from a state college (One of the oldest in the country) CGPA - 7.80/10

GRE 325 (Q168V157)

Work ex : 
1.5 yrs in a local startup - Managed day to day operations

The last 3.5 yrs in an other service startup as City Operations Head (led a team of more than 30 people)
Involved in launching the city operations and turning it into the best city in terms of revenues generated per asset
Handled multiple B2B deals and government relations

Founding member of one and now simultaneously working in that one as well(since Oct 19). Startup (Tech enabled automobile startup- Online car servicing platform) - It's an early stage startup.
Currently overlooking management for 2 cities (Ops, recruitment, marketing)

Extra curricular:

State level swimmer
Trained Rifle shooter

Have worked as a volunteer teacher for under privileged children for 2 years.
Got published in a national news paper for final year college project.

Post MBA Goals :
In short term - General Management and Leadership
Long term - startup

Questions :

1) I am targeting Duke, Tuck, Kelley, Foster, UNC. Given my background which other colleges I should apply to? From top 20?

2) Will my GRE score will be a problem for the top colleges?

From top 20? A: That sounds like a great list. You could possibly add Michigan Ross, Cornell Johnson, Georgetown McDonough and University of Texas - Austin. 2) Will my GRE score will be a problem for the top colleges? A: No, it's pretty solid. Your Quant is excellent. Your Verbal is fine. If you felt confident you could duplicate your Quant score and improve your Verbal score 2-3 points, then take it again. I would not put a huge emphasis on this part of your application given the time you have left. Focus on other elements. Definitely put them on the list. Darden will be a Target/High Target. Kellogg will be a Reach. Both are great if you want to study general management.

You really do need to work on your career goal. General Management and Leadership are vague and a Long-Term Startup is even vaguer! I'm sure you have more specific ideas, but you need to be very specific when it comes to talking about careers in both of these fields.

Hi Experts,
Please evaluate my profile and suggest some B-Schools I can target.

Demographics: Indian, Female, 23

Education:
Undergraduate GPA - 6.87/10 ( Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering) from Tier-2 University
12th - 97.4%
10th - 9.8/10 CGPA
GMAT: 760 (Q49/V47)

Work experience: Total of 24 months as of now in a Business Development role at a Startup

Extracurricular activities:
1) Team Lead for a club named Corporate-Relations for college Tech-fest, where we organized specific events every year.
2) Member of National Social Service at College.
3) Member of Maths Club at College
4) Participated in Start-up weekend, organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell at college.
5) Working with a team named "Helping Hands", based out of my home town to provide covid related assistance to the needy people in our surroundings.
6) Initiated an online platform to sell handmade clothing materials, made by the local weavers around my hometown.
7) Initiated a Covid-Helpline to assist the patients and connect them directly with donors/ medical suppliers.

Post-MBA goals: Looking to work in Marketing and Business Development related roles.

Is my profile good enough to be considered for the top 30 B-Schools?
I understand that I have comparatively lesser work experience. Could you suggest Dream, Target, and Achievable schools, despite having this backlog?
Please suggest how else I can work on to improve my profile.

You have good statistics and some fine extracurricular activities. I am concerned about you yours of work experience and that you're coming from a competitive demographic. There's not much you can do about the latter, other than come up with really good essays and hedge with your school list. Q: I understand that I have comparatively lesser work experience. Could you suggest Dream, Target, and Achievable schools, despite having this backlog? A: A few schools to get you started include Duke (Fuqua), Michigan (Ross), Northwestern (Kellogg), UCLA (Anderson) and Indiana (Kelley). Q: Please suggest how else I can work on to improve my profile. A: You may want to wait a year to apply. That might really help your profile especially since you're in this relatively new role. Adding an extra year would go a long way in improving your chances given the points discussed in your first two questions. Other than that, I would focus on developing killer essays!
