Hi,
I am 25, M, from India,
GPA approx. 3 (converted) as a psychology major (undergrad)
GMAT - 630; IELTS - 8
Extracurricular - Chairperson of the psychology yearly event, editor of the college English magazine, 2-time national award winner for poetry writing, represented rotary India as an exchange student to Spain
Work Experience -
a.) 1 year as a writer in a marketing/ advertisement based start-up
b.) 2+ years (ongoing) management trainee at Adani group (one of the top companies in the country), I have been put by the company on a training program in which I am supposed to work with different businesses of the Adani Group in different roles (3-year program), following which I will be doing my MBA and then joining back with the company as a management-level employee. So far I have worked with Adani Defence, Adani Solar (in their factory as a factory supervisor trainee), Adani Green, Adani Electricity and Adani Airports; covering the roles of HR, Business Development, Purchase Team, Customer Service and Marketing strategy.
I'm going to apply for the class of 2024 and my target is ivy league colleges and would like feedback regarding that.

We appreciate your post. If you are targeting 2024, there a few things you need to consider:
(1) Why are you going to get your MBA now only to then apply for a second MBA? Do you need this first MBA? It will take away from your total years of experience, which is very important to consideration for US MBA programs.
(2) You need to improve your GMAT score significantly. Fortunately, you have time to prepare and retake the exam at least once if not a few more times.
(3) Work on broadening your ECs to activities outside of work. It looks like most of your efforts are from college. You need to show you are involved in the community after leaving college.

I am doing only 1 mba. Class of 2024
2.) what would be a good gmat score for my profile?
3.) I have helped organize a few csr activities for my company and also helped in the setting up of a few charity and religious events for the area I live in. Do these count as involvement in community?
