Hi there,
I'm at that stage where I'd like to shortlist schools to apply to in Round 1.
1. Profile
Age : 25
Nationality: Indian male
Undergraduate: NIT Rourkela (Tier 1 institute in India) in Biomedical Engineering(6.9/10)
GMAT score: 740(Q50 V41)
Yet to attempt TOEFL
2. Work Experience: 4 years in IT for an MNC, working for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies based in the US.
Promoted 3 times and am currently leading a team of 4.
Along with IT functions, I network with customers across US, UK and Spain.
Mentor college graduates on business functions and general guidance.
3. Post MBA goal: PM roles in Tech companies that work in Healthcare. I believe my record of Biomedical engineering in UG and Pharma IT gives me a natural path for this.
4. Extracurriculars:
> Co-founded multiple clubs in College
> Created a Toastmaster's chapter, the first of its kind in the institute during UG.
> Lead a team of 25 students in a club that caters its services to over 4000 college students.
> Before the pandemic, volunteered weekends at a school for Low- income households near the office campus.
Advice needed:
1. I am targeting schools in the US, and am struggling to shortlist the right set of Dream/ Competitive/ Safe schools. Would like some advice on it.
2. Do my ECs in UG count? The reason my GPA is so low is solely because I put in so much effort in organizing events, co-founding clubs, and holding leadership positions at multiple levels.
