Hey dude,
Good to hear from you.
Overall, what I see here is pretty good. Solid GMAT, solid GPA and solid progress at work.

The one thing that makes it real hard for me to evaluate you though, is that I don't really know anything about your work experience - what you did, where you work, if you have lead people, if you have gotten raises/promotions. I mean you say "top bank" but are we talking investment bank? retail bank? something else?

I take it also, that since you didn't elaborate about your volunteer work, you don't have that much, right? I mean, it's not terrible, but not that great either.

I'm guessing that you can fit somewhere in the range of about 10-30 in the rankings, but write me back with more detail, and I can answer you more precisely,

Best,
JF

Thank you for the reply!

From 2012-13 I worked at an internationally known retail store as a manager, so this was my only leadership experience. Received one pay increase and one promotion in the year i was there. The position i held in 2013-14 was at a smaller company, which was a vendor for Bank of America. The role was a lot of quality assurance and customer interaction, but I did receive one pay increase. The most recent position I had was at Citigroup. This job was operations, so again not in a management or leadership role.
Yes that's correct regarding the volunteer work. I am currently researching opportunities in my area, and hopefully will get something going soon. I am finding a theme in my profile, it seems my work experience may be more troublesome than my extra-curriculars and volunteering. Any further information you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated, and I hope I included enough information to give you a better idea.

I agree with you. The most difficult thing in your profile is your work experience. I mean for them, you don't have any "corporate" business experience which is gonna make things hard. Both in terms of the application itself, and in terms of the STORY you will tell. The first thing, you can't do much about (there will always be folks coming form big consulting companies and who will have a stellar resume), but you CAN do something about the second part when you define your goals - WHY these are your goals, what made you realize that these SHOULD be your goals, how you can PROVE that you will be good at your proposed goals - it will be vital for you to address all of these in your application.

Now, I think you can for sure make it in above 50, thanks to a very very good GMAT score, but you are right, and I may have to adjust my initial evaluation and say probably the 20-50 range is more likely.

But like I wrote above, I believe that the MOST important thing for you will be to get your story down pat! And charm the socks off the AdCom.

If you can do that, then you'd be giving it the best shot you can.

Best,
JF
