Hi
varunpaul0505,
Your profile looks good on the surface. I can see a lot of good elements in your profile that will certainly help you make good stories. Your undergraduate GPA is decent with a strong GMAT score, If you're planning to get a 740+ GMAT score, it might look more desirable in your application and make a stronger case for scholarship, but it won't make a major difference in your candidacy! 740 GMAT score have already demonstrated your academic ability. Indians have higher competition, not because of scores, but because they all have identical profiles and are unable to make their application stand out! So I'm going to recommend that you concentrate more on your application.
Your overall work experience is great, and I can see a good career trajectory in the organisation you've been part of. You highlight strategy and business acumen through your experience. This shows your excellence and you can explain how you contributed to the growth and advancement of the company, as adcoms are very interested in learning what the candidate is going to bring to the table.
Your Ecs are very interesting, your involvement in WEF is great, it shows your ability to contribute to your society. Podcast sounds pretty cool! You must speak about it as it will give your profile a unique blend of initiative and intellect.
Talking about your post-MBA goals, as your goal is to consulting, Ross, Kellog and Wharton would be the best pick for you. Overall, you have a decent profile but I would like to know more about the impacts you have created which will bring the spike factor in your overall profile. For your concern about the scholarship, you can get an insight into this article which shares the story of a candidate who had a low GMAT score but managed to get into
LBS with a 100% scholarship.
If you’d like we are happy to hop on a call with you sometime this week to discuss your story in length and brainstorm the perfect fit for you. Feel free to
book a free session with us as per your convenience.
