I think I can score 750+ in a month, had some glaring quant issues. Thanks for the detailed response by the way!!!
Glad you appreciated my response! Feel free to give me "kudos" :)
And yes as Kellogg alum I can say there are big CPG ties there. I think putting your best application there and highlighting your work will server you well.

I understand that kellogg has big cpg ties, do you think this will play a factor?

Hi Varun,

Your undergrad GPA is water under the bridge now. You can’t help it, and there is no shame in admitting the reasons and highlighting how you’ve drawn lessons from your earlier lack of effort.

You, however, have an excellent foil: 740 in GMAT. Schools look at the overall academic picture (and not just GPA) to evaluate the ability of the applicant to take the rigor of the MBA program. You may read about this in my response on this thread on GMAT Club forum:

schools-forgiving-of-low-gpas-225476.html#p1735026

And quality of professional experience matters a lot, where you’ve done well.

I think, with your GMAT score and solid application, you can overcome your GPA at most schools.

You've basically done the most important thing you can after graduating with a low GPA. You kicked butt on the GMAT which is really important and addresses a lot of questions the AdComm will have. Make sure the other areas are as strong as possible and you should have a chance
