Hi
gmatfan5,
It's a little hard to evaluate your chances or talk about specific school names without fully talking to you more about your leadership and work experience in depth (what you have below under WE is a little vague), plus your plans for the future in PropTech (are you thinking of becoming a PM, or what kind of role?). The way I'd approach it is that I'd think about the role you're trying to get, and then consider what are the skills and experiences I'll need to get that role? That might be gaining skills in strategy, general management, analytics, entrepreneurship, etc. Do you need to load up on a lot of classes in one area or are you looking for something more broad/general?
I'd also think about: where are the firms I'm looking to work in geographically, how big are they, how do they recruit, and is there a pipeline of graduates from anywhere in particular? If a firm is big, established and recruits a lot of candidates, you might be able to go to a top school anywhere and gain placement there. However, when a firm is smaller and hires more opportunistically (closer to when they'd bring someone on board), you will have to do more legwork to get opportunities there -- so being relatively nearby, or, alternatively, leveraging a strong network at the firm or in the industry, could be helpful.
So in the absence of that extra info, it's really tough to advise you on names but I'd build a list of reach, target and safety schools and use your GMAT score as a rough guide, with any M7 name as potentially more of a reach, schools where you slightly beat the GMAT average as "target" and schools where you far outpace the GMAT average as more "safe."
Some names for Tech include Cornell/Cornell Tech, Foster, Fuqua, Haas, McCombs, MIT, NYU/NYU Tech, Ross, Tepper, UCLA, UNC
Some names for Real Estate include Booth, Columbia, Cornell, Haas, Kellogg, MIT, NYU, UCLA, UNC, Wharton
Some of the above names are on both lists - do they have a presence in PropTech? You have a bit of HW to do...
Oh and quick FYI - you need 2 recommendations for most schools (exceptions include MIT Sloan and Ross)...
Good luck! If you want to talk more in depth, feel free to sign up for a consultation!
