Taking all of the above into consideration, my main questions are:
- Born in Portugal to a Spanish and Brazilian parents (double nationality = Hispanic/Latino)
- Raised in Spain
- Educated in the UK
- Began my career in the USA (permanent resident = green card holder)
- BEng in Aerospace Engineering from top 10 university in the UK // Achieved top UK grade and ranked 3rd in my class
- MSc in Finance from top 10 university worldwide // Achieved 2nd highest grade
- 3+ years working in Big 4 strategy consulting NYC branch
- Focus: supporting Life Sciences (biopharma) executives (C-level experience) in strategic decision-making (Corporate strategy, GenAI strategy, etc.)
- Received full-ride sponsorship from my company (the sponsorship program is well known amongst all top b-schools)
- Pro-bono strategy consulting for non-profits
- Founder of Spanish Society in my bachelors university
- Event lead for hispanic community at Big 4
- Lowest score (no prep): 540
- Highest score (5 months prep): 680 (Q46 / V38 / IR8 / AWA6)
- I plan to continue pursuing my passion for life sciences (biopharma) by working in the healthcare coverage group of an Investment Bank
- Leverage my strategy (current role) and financial advisory (investment banking) expertise to establish a growth equity firm focused on investing in Latin American biopharmaceutical companies that are pushing the boundaries of medicine.

Taking all of the above into consideration, my main questions are:
- What are my chances at M7?
- How much does my GMAT hinder my application?
- I am ready to apply (all essays done), but, is it worth delaying my applications to Round 2 in an attempt to improve my GMAT score?
- Any tips / hints that could help me position the lower GMAT score.

Your impressive academic background, international experience, and relevant work experience make your profile strong for M7 MBA programs. However, your GMAT score of 680 is slightly lower than the average for these schools.
While the GMAT is important, it's just one part of the admissions process. Committees look at your entire profile, including work experience, leadership potential, and fit with the program. Other strengths can offset a lower GMAT, but a higher score could make you more competitive. It may be worth considering if you have the time and resources to retake the exam and aim for a score of 700 or higher.
Round 1 application exhibits dedication and can increase your odds; however, if you believe you can substantially boost your GMAT score, Round 2 could be a more appropriate option. The choice should depend on your faith in enhancing your scores and the overall strength of your application. To maximize the use of the current GMAT scores, bring out other strong areas, give some context to the score if necessary, highlight quantitative abilities, and obtain guidance on how best to package the complete application.
If you decide to improve your scores, you may apply to a few M7 schools in R1 with current GMATs and others in R2 with improved GMAT.
