- Three years post-graduation as civil engineer while chasing athletic goals (NZ/UK)
- One year full-time playing sport professionally in Europe and for USA National Team (USA/The Netherlands)
- Retired from sport, returned home to further career. Two years client-side project manager responsible for delivering construction projects up to $200mil (NZ)

Thanks for sharing your background with us! (I'm curious to know what sport you competed in! That will certainly set you apart.)
Overall, I'd say your profile looks strong at first glance -- your GPA is a bit on the low side, but is that because you were a college athlete who had to devote large amounts of time to training and competing? If so, make sure you state that explicitly somewhere in your application. I think that both the target and reach schools that you listed make a lot of sense, provided that you can elaborate on the following in your resume, essays, and letters of recommendation:
-While I understand that your career has been a bit choppy so far because you were toggling between athletics and engineering, it'll be important to highlight the impact and growth that you've had in both "arenas" to date. As an athlete, what were your key accomplishments (ideally with a focus on teams)? Did you hold any leadership positions? What skills did you develop that you think are transferable to business? As an engineer / project manager, what was your impact on your employer's business or on your clients' businesses? How did you demonstrate leadership as well as strong soft skills (teamwork, communication, etc.)?
-Your post-MBA goals are well-developed, but what's missing is insight into why you're drawn to strategy and/or social impact work. Since you'll be a career changer who didn't work in either of those fields pre-MBA, admissions committees (AdComs) will want to know why you think those fields will be right for you, how your pre-MBA experience will be relevant, and why you believe you need an MBA to be successful long-term.
