And thanks a lot for the kind words! I really appreciate it.
So first things first - Congrats on your FANTASTIC GMAT!!!! It will help you a lot in your application. I think that, and the fact that you are female are your two strongest points. (there are never really enough female candidates, and this is especially true from India). Your job has some pros and cons - the pro is that I think you can write a really good story around it (more about this soon), but the con is that it is not very "businessy" and teaching can sometimes be seen as too "easy" (although anyone who has spent time in the classroom knows this isn't true).
I think your school list is pretty good, and between UNC, UCLA, and Marshall, if you can write a great application, you have a shot. And I think that the KEY to your great application is to use what is unique in your profile - your education background. If you go ahead and apply and have the same goals as everyone else ("I want to make a lot of money") you will have two disadvantages - first, you will be up against a whole lot of people from finance who have a lot more experience than you that is a lot more relevant. Secondly, you run the risk of sounding like everyone else, and not standing out. Soooooooo I think you could use your education background to your advantage - Tie it in together with your volunteer work, and come up with some goals that would make use of your past experience - this will make your application more plausible and interesting too!
