Hello -
If anyone can provide some color on my chances and/or other schools I should consider, please let me know.
Background:
- White
- Male
- 760 GMAT
- 3.55 GPA from a Big 10 school, finance and accounting double major
- Founded one school club and President of two other clubs during my time in undergrad
- WE1: Big 4 "FAS" / "TAS" consulting, earned CPA within first month on the job
- WE2: Corporate Development at a multi-billion firm (not in tech)
- Volunteer: 2 years with a NFP where I mentor an at risk high school student
- Letters of Rec: Should be able to get one from the CFO at my company in addition to the VP and Director of my group
Target Schools:
-Booth
-Sloan
-Kellogg
-Tuck
Career goals: After b-school I am interested in working for a middle market PE firm or middle market / bulge bracket investment bank. At the moment, no real industry focus although tech does excite me. I like Booth and Kellogg because I would like to move back to the Midwest eventually. What are my odds at the above schools and are there any schools my application would be a strong fit for that I am not currently considering? Do I need a safety school if I am only applying to the above four?
Additionally, if there is anything you would recommend I do to improve my overall application over the next 1-2 years, please let me know as well.
Thanks!
