Hello z26b and thanks for your post.
It is hard to gauge your work experience without knowing your specific accomplishments and impact you have made there. But it definitely does sound impressive, and it is nice to see that you have taken the lead on recent projects, as well as having already been promoted. Plus you have worn many hats. Along with your actual work experience, it will also be important to explain why you want your MBA, and to also illustrate the skills you already have which are transferable. Be sure your story makes sense, and is realistic and specific.
I do think that your work experience will be a major strength in your application, and will slightly compensate for your lower than average GPA. Even so, your GPA and GMAT should not deter you from having some confidence about your target schools. Make sure that your Optional Essay explains your GPA, and keep in mind that your GMAT is not too much below the average of your target schools. You must still, however, illustrate to the schools that you have the academic ability to succeed in the classroom. You could showcase your quant ability in your resume, your recommenders could do the same in their recommendations, or you could even take a supplemental course such as stats or calculus (if you choose to wait until next year to apply).
With strong applications, I do think you have a chance at some of these schools, though it is still smart to apply to a range of schools, including reach, target and safety. Hopefully they will see that you have a compelling story and are someone who will add value to the classroom and community.
Good luck!
