Can someone help me what I am missing here? It seems easy question, but I just can't see what I should look for.
If x is an integer and y =3x+2, which of the following CANNOT be a divisor of y?
A) 4
B) 5
C) 6
D) 7
E) 8
No idea what to look for...
Whenever I don't have any idea what to look for I use hit and trial , please see if it suits you, you can use the same as well.
My approach is to use hit and trial and I always start with B,C, D options, it works most of the times(Personal Experience).
You just need to find any value of x for which y is divisible by given options .
No value exist of x for which y is divisible by 6 hence answer C.
Lengthy surely , but effective most of the times.
