hi quite straightforward..
1) the qty is same in both so if larger is filled to 1/4th, howso much it may fill smaller one does not matter because when u put that in bigger one ,it will again be 1/4th of larger ... so larger one will be 1/4+1/4=1/2 filled
2) B....SI doesnt give suff value as the no could be 36(36+5=41) to 44(44+5=49)... in al cases tens digit is 4..
SII tells us that units digit is >5... 6,7,8,9. in each case if u add 5 it will incr tens digit by 1,.... so to have 4 as tens digit on adding 5, tens digit has to be 3..

1st)

let capacity of one glass is X and another is Y
equal amount of water say m is poured in bth and
glass 1=1/4 x-----> which is m amount of water
glass 2=1/3 y----->which is m amount of water

1/4 x=m=1/3 y

now glass 2(1/3 y) is poured into glass 1
tot=1/4 x +1/3 y=1/4 x + 1/4 X( bcoz 1/4 x=1/3y)=1/2 x

hence C

2nd)

K can be anything from 36....to.....44
s1) k> 35 not suff as tenth digit is 3 or 4

s2) unit dig>5----> tenth digit will be only 3 so that when 1 is carry over then tenth dig of resultant value will be 4...hence unit dig is 3 ....suff
