excuse the vulgarity of the statement, but it's from real life:

her main selling point (IS or ARE?) her big boobs.

selling point is singular so that makes me want to say is...but are sounds better...

If thats true, you won't say, it are, it are

It is.

Her main selling point is her big boobs.

Selling point is singular.

If the sentence was: Her eyes are beautiful. here eyes -> plural
Other way: Her main selling point is her beautiful eyes.
