Thanks a lot for reply,I have read some review in internet which gives me different opinion. Can I consider the review given by anonymous in this site is genuine ?

Thanks
Subhajit

Look for the Verified Badge/indicator. Even if anonymous (moderators and other prominent usuers choose to anonymize their reviews), but confirmed and verified, they are genuine. Also, even though a review is anonymous, it still has the indicator of how many posts and how many kudos the reviewer had. For example, the blow review of the MGMAT course - it is posted anonymously but the author has had 150 posts on GMAT Club and quite a few Kudos... Anonymous just means that the identity is not visible to the public; it does not mean that anyone can submit an anonymous review...

Hi Subhajit,

It sounds like you're just starting out. Is that true? Have you done any studying so far? When it comes to studying for the GMAT, there are many options besides on-site classes, so you might find it worthwhile to research all of the possibilities.

If you're just beginning, then it would be a good idea to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test; you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). If you want to do a bit of practice first, so that you can familiarize yourself with the general content and question types first, then that's fine - but you shouldn't wait too long to take that initial CAT. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.

I'd like to know a bit more about your timeline and goals:
1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi Friends,

I am new to this site and beginner for GMAT prep.May be a little late but I have string aspiration for MBA.I don't really get a push till I get a competitive environment.Hence I am looking for a good GMAT institute in Hyderabad India.
Please suggest me also if any of my friend here is preparing for the same please let me know so that we can share our knowledge and help each other for studies.
Thanks
Subhajit

Hi SubhajitGoswami,

There are various modes to prepare for the GMAT:

1. Self Study
2. Physical Classroom course
3. Online self guided preparatory course
4. A mix of online course plus classroom.

Before enrolling into any course, identify the mode that works best for you.
Preparing for the GMAT does not necessarily require a physical class.

Take a demo class before enrolling into a course.
You can also take a trial period of our course and see if the course suits your needs.

When do you plan to take the GMAT?
What is your target score?

I suggest you to take a look at all the online courses available (egmat, magoosh, empower gmat, optimus prep, manhattan gmat, veritas prep etc). Go through the free stuff they are offering and then pick one. I think online course will be way more helpful for non-natives.

If you have already zeroed on class room study option, I still suggest you to take demo classes. Some of the options that I am aware are Manhattan review, Princeton review, Jamboree, Time. Don't get confused here : Manhanttan review and Manhattan Gmat are different.

Just Remember, don't pay until you are satisfied.

12Sums has explained the scenario very accurately.
My experience
Attended Princeton review demo lass on quant: Did not feel satisfied
Payed the fee to Manhattan review but could not attend their course since their verbal instructor resigned all of sudden and they advised me to continue my course at madhapur(too far for me.)
Joined Time and completed the course: I curse myself why did I waste so much money, time and energy.

egmat............too good for sc
magoosh............good for practice
manhattan gmat books are good for a very good start of preparation

Go for demos and decide. Also check CrackISB in hyderabad.
