Hi bakshiaashna,

When posting content-specific questions, you should post them in their specific sub-forums. For example, the Data Sufficiency forum can be found here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/data-sufficiency-ds-141/

In addition, many GMAT questions have already been posted (and discussed). The specific prompt that you're referring to can be found here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/what-is-the- ... 08142.html

With Data Sufficiency questions, if either of the two Facts (the 2 statements that appear under the prompt) gives you enough information to answer the given question on its own, then you do NOT need to combine that information with anything else. With this prompt, the information in Fact 1 gives you exactly what you need to answer the question (to find the average of 2 terms, you need the sum of those terms - and Fact 1 gives you that sum), so Fact 1 is Sufficient on its own.

1) How long have you studied so far?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) What is your overall goal score?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
