Best way to learn concepts is to get a course or book whichever study method suits you, then you can go start practicing questions. Practicing questions without stabilizing the fundamentals won't take you anywhere.

I compiled a list of Quant practice sets that I came across in GMAT Club all in one place , the link for which is given below.

GMATCLUB QUANT Practice Sets Link Collection

The collections has some real good question sets and you can go through this once you are done with concept preparation and after you reach mock tests stage.

All the best for your preparation.

Hey akadiyan,
Thanks a lot for sharing the thread.
To further elaborate, I am currently using Magoosh material to focus on my weak areas and bring some structure to my studies.

Hi Raghav21oct,

Back in May, 2020, you posted that you were planning to take the GMAT in either late July or early August. Did you end up taking the GMAT as planned (and if you did, then how did you score?)?

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How long have you studied in total? Over the last 6 weeks, how many hours have you typically study each week?
2) Have you used any other study materials besides the course that you listed?
3) Have you taken any other practice CATs/mocks? On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hello everyone,

I recently gave a GMAT Official Practice Test after 40 days of study, and scored a 640 (Q43, V35).
My target score is 700, and I have registered for the 2nd March slot (Exactly one month to go).

Currently, my quant is on the weaker side, and I am done with most questions of Quant OG Review. I really feel I can increase my quant score considerably through more practice and structured studies.

Can anyone suggest any good resources to practice more quant questions so that I can jump nearer to my target score ?

Hi Raghav,

I would suggest you to focus on learning the right methodologies to solve questions before you completely focus on practicing questions. Because A score of Q43 indicates that you are good with the concepts but are struggling with their application. GMAT mainly tests you on the application skills. So, the stronger your application skills are the better your performance will be.

If you are not using any resource other than OG for your prep, I suggest you to choose a standard resource which can help you with the methodology and to work on your weak areas. Make sure to analyze the solution of every question you have solved. By analyzing, I mean, go through the detailed solution, compare your approach with the right one and identify the step at which you made the mistake. This will help you nullify the gaps between your approach and the right one.

If you wish to have a detailed discussion on the study strategy for the next one month, you can get on touch with me using the below link.

Regarding quant resources, in addition to seeking advice in this thread, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant courses and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

You also may find it helpful to read this article about how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi Raghav,

I scored a Q43 on my first GMAT attempt. I have finished learning the concept by then but was not sure what's left to study. That's when I registered for an online course and realized that there's lot more than concepts to study for GMAT. I started learning the right methods and strategies. Learning these helped me improve my Quant score to 50 and overall score to 720.

So, what I suggest is, do not solely practice questions. Know how to solve the questions. Without that there's no point practicing. Get something out of every quiz you take. Analyze the solutions. This is how I improved. And coming to resources, I would recommend GMATWhiz course as that helped me improve my score. All the best :)
