Hi,
If a car traveled the leg of 100 mile in 2 hrs and then stopped for rest for 3 hrs. It continued the second leg of 50 miles in 1 hr.
When calculating the average speed, do i take into consideration the stoppage time??

The average speed is ALWAYS (total distance)/(total time), so in this case if we need the average speed for the entire trip it will be (100 + 50)/(2 + 3 + 1)
