Hi Folks,
I'm an Indian and I know that since MBA is not a STEM degree, the extension I would get is only for 9 months post-MBA, after which I would be subject to the H1B lottery, where there is a 1/3 chance of me securing a visa.
I want to stay in the US after my MBA at least until my loans are cleared and maybe even beyond that.
So my questions:
1. Is it advised to do a MBA there and take the chance? Few people depend on their employers posting them in europe or canada in case they don't secure a H1b but isn't that too much to bank your MBA on?
2. Any similar examples where people have succeeded or failed?
3. I've applied just to Canadian MBA programs because of this. I know the average salary and reputation for most Canadian programs are low compared to the American ones. Does this make sense?
Would love to know any thoughts about fellow candidates about this!
Regards
