Randomly, six people A, B, C, D, E, and F sit around a circular table. What is the probability that A is in middle of B and F, B is in the middle of A and C, C is in the middle of B and D, D is in the middle of C and E, E is in the middle of D and F, F is in the middle of A and E?

Six people can be arranged to sit around a circular table in (6-1)! = 120 ways
When we do the arrangement on the circular table, we find that there are only 2 such arrangements possible - one in clockwise direction and other in anti-clockwise direction.
Hence, the desired probability is 2/120 = 1/60

An excellent approach by fellow member.
Since question includes arrangement of all 6 members which is again, a distinct arrangement.
And one must keep in mind that in circular arrangements, for each pattern, two arrangement exist in clockwise direction and another in anticlockwise direction.
So 2/(6!) = 1/60 is answer.

Keep in mind that had question stem not included all 6 members, we have to generate cases based on arrangements of those persons, who are not included.

Why don't we multiply by 6 as well because there are 6 positions for this to be true?
