RC improvisation

Question

I am working on taking RC accuracy to 90%+

At present I am at 60-70%. I have gone through MGMAT books, daily solving 3 passages, strategize on doing this for next 60 days, with gradual increase in difficulty. Any other suggestions I must follow.

Hello,  Shubhi1995 . You may want to try the videos that  GMATNinja  has made that are devoted to RC. You can find the list  here . My guess is that if you use those videos in combination with your guides, you will get the best out of both, and more importantly, the best from yourself. Understand that there is no silver bullet to RC. But a methodical approach, with enough practice, will start to yield returns, no matter the passage topic or difficulty.

Hi Shubhi1995,

You have a 700/Q48 listed in your profile. Is that an Official Score? If it is, then it's worth noting that a 700/Q48 is an outstanding Score, so you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. As such, a retest might not be necessary. Depending on the Schools that you plan to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

There's no harm in continuing to study and retesting - but with a V30, you likely lost points in more than just RC (and by extension, focusing on RC for the next 60 DAYS would probably not be the best use of that time). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) When did you take the Official GMAT?
2) How long have you studied in total? How many hours do you typically study each week?
3) What study materials have you used over the course of all of your studies?
4) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

If you took the Official GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.
