Recent evidence suggests that the Rosalind franklin's research enabled Wilkins, Watson, and Crick's Nobel Prize winning work on DNA could instigate a conversation on the treatment of female scientists, lead to the implementation of stricter guidelines regarding the sharing of credit for research, and scholars may be required to credit Franklin with greater historical importance.
A) scholars may be required to credit Franklin with greater historical importance
B) require that scholars are to credit Franklin with greater historical importance
C) require scholars to credit Franklin with greater historical importance
The correct answer is option C but my question is that why is option B wrong here? "Require" is a bossy word and we use [bossy word + that + base form of word] construction. Why is option B not correct with that logic?
