rs5713 thank you for this ESR,
every time when i see someone's ESR, I better understand how gmat exam is structured, which type of questions with in what number of question comes in exam.

V40 with 7 missed is normal. In fact, missing 7 verbal questions often puts people in the upper 30s. So, it's not surprising that missing 2 or 3 CR or RC questions puts you in the 30s for those types of questions.

What you should to do to score V44 next time certainly should include practice. At the same time, you should track your errors to determine what types of questions you're missing partly to find where there are flaws in how you go about answering questions and partly to determine for what types of questions you should learn better strategies. There is a good strategy for each type of verbal question, and if you don't have a strategy that's working well, you can learn one.
