Hello!

I would like to know your opinion about some particular situation I will face in my application: I have been promoted very recently to a new position and I wonder if that could affect how Adcomms will view my application.

Actually, it is not a really "new position" for me as I have been working in this position as an "acting role" while this new job function was created and approved in my company (the position is "Indirect Sales Channel Business Developer" ). So I was appointed to get the role and I accepted the challenge because, being honest, I have been the one who know more the long-term strategy of this new fuction for the company.

This situation makes me wondering if I should to continue my application as I expected (intake January 2023) or to wait until August/Setember 2023 (I am currently 31 years old and the idea of waiting is always a bit difficult to digest).

I will appreciate get some feedback from you.
Many thanks and best regards!

Hello Lure1415,

This is the role you're already in so it is practically only about the title. We feel you should continue with the process of applying because a few months of "formally" being in the new role will not change too much.

Good luck!

Hello Lure1415 hope you are doing well

The schools do not differentiate between "acting roles" and official job title as long you can demonstrate relevant exposure in the domain under consideration, and the same is substantiated through your recommendations. Unless you want to pursue this new role for your own interest, applying for MBA with the experience you already have seems reasonable.

Warm regards
