I think your approach will probably depend on the situation - do you have "mixed sector" experience because you tried something, didn't like it and made a change? Or do these different sectors have a common thread and you wanted to, say, apply your consulting skills in a new way? What's behind your path and the choices you've made? How do these things relate to what you want to do in the future? If your story makes sense, and you demonstrate why you need an MBA to make your next move, they should be fine with it.
Ultimately, the schools will want to see that you've developed strong skills and are "employable" to recruiters, that you are academically ready to handle the program, and that you've learned some things in your career and can contribute to the class...
