Hi,

I am 30yo , Married Male working as a senior testing engineer in product based firm in Hyderabad.

Here goes my Profile :

10th - 78%
12th - 68%
BE(Computer Science) - 7.03 GPA

I have not given GMAT yet.


Over All experience - 7 Years in Testing field

Testing Engineer : Trianz holdings private limited(2012 - 14)
Testing Engineer : Camp Systems International Limited(2014-16)
Senior Testing Engineer : Camp Systems International Limited(2016-till date)

Jobs and Responsibilities :

Elicit IT requirements from business users and manage multiple priorities and expectations from cross-functional stakeholders & document business requirements
Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, develop SQL queries and perform data validation
Planning, organizing, directing, managing, and monitoring the business assessments and process improvement initiatives across project
Database testing in Oracle environments including designing and manipulating test data
Design, develop and execute manual tests inclusive of systems, integration and regression tests
Assist the business with user acceptance testing (UAT)
Test Reporting on daily/weekly basis
Maintained quality-focused performance benchmarks and schedules when directing project teams.
Developed web-site mock-ups for clients

Extra curricular :
1. Trekking : Finished multiple trekking and cycling expedition in India
2. Soccer : Was part of school & College Soccer Team.
3. Mentoring : Took coaching for Tenth standard for a group of 6, couple of them scored 10 points.
4. Part of Toast Masters International Club, Mentored few people in writing speeches.
5. Organised fests and events at school & college level.


Goal of MBA :
1. Career Advancement - Want to move to managerial position. Open for industry change as well.

I am not sure which program or school I should aim for. I am open for doing mba outside India and settling outside.

Please help me clarify my dilemma.

1. Writing and getting a GMAT score is important, this is the first thing the admission consultants will ask you to do. Don't worry your profile looks good but without GMAT it's incomplete.
2. Clarity on why MBA? If you go through other profile review posts on this forum you'll find everyone has a story behind 'why MBA'.
