Hi Souvik,
This is a great list you've prepared for us... :) Thanks man..!

BTW, could you please let us know that how many top ranked B-Schools in India actually accept Indian(Not NRI) applicants through GMAT for their 2 year full time MBA programs(for EG: IIFT,IIM-I/L/Ranchi etc. )...?

Would really appreciate your reply on this.

I think its Programs & schools that accept Indian candidates through the GMAT as one of the admission tests:
Its there on the list. But however, there are a couple of "no shows". Some institutes have registered with particular programs with GMAC but actually dont accept the scores. The are exceptions in spite of being on the List.
(the list is made by getting the names of schools and programs which are registered with GMAC)

Hmm.. basically I think IIFT,IIM-I/L/Ranchi are among these exceptions as they don't accept Indian(Not NRI) applicants through GMAT for their 2 year FT MBA programs.
Hope you'll agree to this point.

I agree.
But probably that is all about to change in the coming years, because they are registered with GMAC now.

all IIMs , IIFT, SPjain and MDI, the top ranked schools in india do not accept indian students with GMAT scores in their FT 2 year MBA or PGP program. But they all accept indians in PGPX through GMAT, maybe because the no. of applicants in the FT MBA program is much higher and they find difficult to screen candidates by using two tests GMAT and CAT (indian IIM CAT i mean). for PGPX the no of applicants is much smaller and they do take GMAT scores. the PGPX program is not as highly ranked as their PGP program for which indian nationals do need to take CAT.

PUNEETSCHDV,
SPjain do accept Indian students with GMAT scores in its FT 2 year MBA...

I don't think very high no. of applicants in the FT MBA program,is a constraint to that extent...Reason may be something else whatsoever it is.. :)
Apart from IIMs,there are a few top ranked b-schools who accept on the basis of CAT/ XAT etc.

However, I think they should start accepting Indian students with GMAT scores in their FT 2 year MBA..it'll be definitely good for us as it'll create more options for us to apply. It's a huge base after all...

Hey,

XLRI accepts GMAT for all programs and not only the GMP (for NRIs)
But for Indian Nationals, it's only the GMPs thought.

Hi,
My name is Himanshu Srivastava
i am from Delhi,
I am planning to write GMAT to get an admission in IIM. i want to know something about IIM Bangalore. I am willing that you will help me out at some extent to get an idea to get an admission. as per my profile i have 3.6 year work experience in which i have work for Qatar government and now working in Delhi. I wrote GRE also & scored 303 but really don't know whether IIM accept the MBA aspirants on GRE score. well apart from that i am a B.tech graduate from computer science and scored 74% from an average college i have published six international papers too but sir main problem is that i am little bit confuse which program will be best for me and which MBA program should i go for. though i am graduate from computer science but i am very much weak in coding kind of stuff so planned to go for MBA but most of the people says that if you go for another stream which MBA is providing related to your graduate studies that it won't help you much. Is it true? I wrote CAT but i think that i can't compete 99% + in CAT exam so i planned to take GMAT so it may give me a chance to enter in IIM. sir, I am messaging you with lots of hope. Eagerly waiting for your kind response. please be my usher.

Here is a brief outline of the topics this article covers:
