Dear
YamiR99,
A holistic evaluation of a profile includes an examination of academics, work experience, extracurriculars, GMAT score, and self-initiatives outside of work. In your case, I am pleased to see noticeable strengths in all these areas, coupled with the potential for a high GMAT score as you indicated.
In short, yes, you do have a shot at ISB.
However, the key to a successful application lies in
effectively presenting your profile to the admissions committee, which involves crafting well-thought-out admission essays. You seemingly have the necessary ingredients; what is important is how you are able to tie it all together. From our perspective on the admission essays for the current cycle, you will need to present a compelling narrative highlighting instances and scenarios that have helped you develop your strengths and weaknesses as a person (something we have limited visibility on from your post).
You should craft a beautiful story that demonstrates how your academic and professional experiences have led you to your current roles and responsibilities, what motivated you to take courses on marketing management, UI, and UX, and identify the areas you feel you need to develop, for which you need an MBA. Additionally, you should articulate how you see ISB helping you achieve your goals and aspirations.
To sum it all up, given a high GMAT score as you anticipate and strong, well-thought-out admission essays, we believe you have a strong chance of securing an interview invite. We are genuinely eager to learn more about your profile and to assist you comprehensively throughout the application journey—from refining your essays to providing guidance on letters of recommendation and preparing for admission interviews.
At Team FLY, we are a collective of ISB alumni dedicated to supporting prospective ISB candidates with profile positioning, essay critiques, and interview preparations.
