Hi,
I am looking for the best 1 year MBA Program in India and abroad. In my whole career I have been more oriented towards tech, I think its a good time to move towards a management role and also grow my network connections.
A few of the colleges and 1 year courses, which I heard are good:
PGPX at IIM-A
EPGP at IIM-B
MBAEx at IIM-C
PGP at ISB
My Education Details10th (CBSE) 2005 - 69.6%
12th (CBSE) 2007 - 67.2%
B.Tech(Computer Science and Engineering) 2011 from Private College - 7.75 GPA
Work ExperienceI have 12+ years of experience. I have worked as a Software Engineer in companies like TCS, Flipkart, Microsoft, and Amazon. Currently, I am working with a US Consulting company as a Senior Backend Engineer.
CTC: 63 LPA
Short team GoalsWant to become tech PM/EM in the top companies
Long team GoalsWant to be in an executive role or founder of my own company.
Hence, please suggest to me how much GMAT score I need to get into such colleges. As an average student throughout my school and college life, do I even stand a chance to get into the Top Colleges mentioned? If yes, what GMAT score at minimum, do I need to have?
@piy1105 - Latest published average GMAT (Classic) scores at top global MBA programs are
here. For Indian B-schools such as ISB and IIM's, the averages tend to be around 700-720 (Classic). Aiming for 10-20 points above the average of your target programs would be ideal.
Given your 12+ years work-ex, the strength of the professional arc (e.g. achievements, roles, skillsets gained, international exposure etc.) and how well you portray it, in addition to a strong GMAT score, can help compensate for your lower GPA.
B-schools also tend to look at Extracurriculars: ideally recent and consistent involvement across some activities, so any angles here can help.
