Why " Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which " is wrong?

Can you elaborate.

there are number of reasons:

1) the initial modifier, if used at all, should make sense with the FOLLOWING clause (most important reason). now try to read A: Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount to a sum of 100 per minute, an electric personal assistive mobility device employs delicate motors in order to maintain its passenger balanced while travelling on two parallel wheels---------------->the fact that "an electric personal assistive mobility device employs delicate motors in order to maintain its passenger balanced while travelling on two parallel wheels" HAS NO RELATION to the fact that "an electric personal assistive mobility device requires a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount to a sum of 100 per minute"

2) "Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which" ----->"which" without comma is mostly wrong (though i did not eliminate on this basis)

3) "Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount to a sum of 100 per minute" is a not only REDUNDANT but also WRONG in comparison to "An electric personal assistive mobility device requires up to 100 gyroscopic motion recalibrations per minute"

I actually eliminated option A) on the basis of point # 3.

I think the modifier make sense as the modifier modifies the device.

Basically, the device requires the calibrations and it employs X to maintain the balance.

Yes sum and amounts to are redundant.

And "which" -> I will keep an eye. Thanks for that.

amount and sum are redundant-either amount or sum-remove A and E

i think by logic and reading not looking at errors i figured that it will always - - if there is an then it will be singular(please let me know if i am wrong)..but to double check i saw that devices require vs require- the subject verb comes into action and reverse is correct because devices is plural. therefore that is out.
for D it is the modifier error- requiring is for device-that hits it the device requires vs device requiring(changed the position of modifier to test.)

GOT B...
there are many other errors as well please let me know whether i need to list them also..and let me know it the approach used is incorrect

I dont think even B is correct because the actual statement says "may amount" but option B says "requires up to". B is very certain, but actual sentence express some amount of uncertainity.

A) Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount to a sum of 100 per minute, an electric personal assistive mobility device - Incorrect - amount to a sum is aredundant usage
B) An electric personal assistive mobility device requires up to 100 gyroscopic motion recalibrations per minute and
C) Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount up to 100 per minute, an electric personal assistive mobility devices - Incorrect - "devices employs" creates subject verb agrement error
D) Requiring a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount up to 100 per minute, an electric personal assistive mobility device has to - "has to employs" incorrect usage
E) An electric personal assistive mobility device requires a number of gyroscopic motion recalibrations which may amount up to an extraordinary sum of 100 per minute - "calibrations which may amount upto" wrong usage. Again the statement is very ceratain unlike the orginal one which uses "may"
