Can some one xplain answer for Q4
Option A relates more to the answer than option B
As given in the passage.
"Researchers are finding that in many ways an individual bacterium is more analogous to a component cell of a multicellular organism than it is to a free-living, autonomous organism"

Hi globaldesi,
The lines that you have mentioned suggest that an individual bacterium is more similar to the a multicellular organism. Option A is incorrect, since its not the uniqueness of the bacteria that the author is using the example of Anabaena.

As mentioned in the above lines: "Researchers are finding", it implies that there already exist such bacteria and the researchers are discovering it and learning more about it. Anabaena serves as best example of the same.

Let me know if you are still unclear on the question.

thanks.

Q4 is the hardest of the lot, so I will try to answer only that.

In simpler terms the author says single cell bacteria are more comparable to a single cell of an organism than the whole organism itself (the organism has more than 1 cell or multicellular).

However, the Anabaena is different.

So author says this unusual bacteria cannot be described by the common viewpoint. This is exactly what option B states.

The answer is not A because he does not use the example of Anabaena to show/prove/illustrate that bacteria in general is unique.

Hope this helps.
