Really? One page?
Generally, a two-pager is acceptable provided you're not filling it with lots of junk no one cares about (Server: took orders, delivered food, accepted payment, wiped tables, swept floors, cleaned the crappers...)
Personally, I've held 8 positions at my job in the last 4 years, and while I have consolidated them to some extent, a Haas adcom told me it's really important to show career progression.
Add to that serving on a bunch of boards in college and in the community, plus study and internship abroad....I've got a nice two pages that don't contain fluff.
I thought about pulling off some of the stuff and letting it show up in the activity / education sections, but I think it's important to have a resume that stands on its own in case people look at it individually.
Anyone else going crazy with a 2-pager?
P.S. Some schools say that if you're going to submit your resume separately, you should be sure to put the program you're applying for on it. Though in this day and age, I don't know why anyone would send it in by paper.
