I was looking that up also. The points that I thought were interesting is:

Education towards the end, they will have you transcript so it's doesn't need to emphasis
Don't use anything less than size 11 font.
Stick with traditional, can go up to 2 pages, no more.

I would say do not go over 1 page for American B Schools unless you have over 7 years of experience. You should be able to fit everything on 1 page.

I'll second that.

Look at the resume books for schools like Wharton and Tuck. Some of these guys had multiple positions before their MBA, then they had to add their MBA to the education section and add an internship.

They all seem to fit it on one page.

You think your resume is so impressive you need more room than they did?

Like others, I used resume books from Wharton and Tuck to provide formatting guidelines. The "everything on one page" part was the most challenging :)

I think the resume books are a great resource. I mean, they spend a lot of time in b-school helping the students develop quality resumes.

I just noticed that Duke requires a one-page resume.

I think it will be easiest on everyone if you follow that guideline.

If you have a lot of experiences (that was my case), do go for a two-pager, but use the space wisely. I personally do not believe they will deny admissions because of an extra page of well-selected, precise, concise and useful information.

I say never over 1 page for any US b-school. Why? Because almost every single school requires you to have a single page resume for their resume books. If a student can do that with the extra space the their MBA program will take up at the top....then you should be able to do it without that. Anything over 1 page is going to look out of place to almost everyone reading them since almost every single resume they will recieve will be on one page. Much like having an essay that is clearly over the limit, its better not to stand out in regards to length.

Thanks for the tips. The resume books that I have come across are usually password protected.

Also, are you posting the dates for the jobs as month/year - month/year or only as year - year?

I found this one through their Finance club.

Note that NO ONE put their GMAT scores on their resumes.
