Resume Help - post acquisition title change lower due to job structure

Hello,

I need advice on the following...

My company was recently acquired and their financial analyst job structure is as so:
Associate FA
FA
Sr. FA

Pre-acquisition company
Jr. FA
FA 1
FA 2
SR FA

I went from a FA 1 to FA 2 pre-acq and after we got acquired I became an FA. Any suggestions on what i should do with this?

you could mention both titles as follows:

Financial Analyst (pre-acquisition: Financial Analyst II)

Thank you for the input! That is a great way to display it. I hope that the adcoms won't see it as a demotion. Should i be worried about that?

Hi grenneth90042,

I'm glad my answer was helpful.

You shouldn't be worried. AdComs are well aware that after any merger or acquisition there are organizational and structural changes, including new title structures.

However, if you really want to make sure that it is not viewed as a demotion, you could explain it somewhere in your application, for example, in the Optional Essay.
