I am contemplating whether to retake gmat or not because of IR score. I know some people might even find this thought as stupid looking at 760, but I would really like to hear your opinion. I have no idea how the IR score is used by adcoms and how bad a score of 6 would look.
So please help me out guys with your suggestions.

Nah don't worry about IR. The adcoms haven't started considering IR as a metric to assess candidates as of now - simply because the data sample for IR is not enough as of now to assess a candidate. Maybe 2-3 year down the line it would become very important, but for now it's fine. Plus, a score of 6 isn't bad at all. You would do better by focusing on your essays and other parts of your application now. All the best!
