Hi everyone!
I took the test today and got 605 - Q81, V82, DI77.
I have been preparing for GMAT since August last year. I had given the classic version last yr and got 680 (Q48, V35) in December. However, when I started studying for focus edition, I realised I had to start from scratch. My first focus mock was 505 in Jan '25
I gave focus edition in March and got 535 (Q81, V78, DI70). So, 605 is definitely an improvement but I cannot understand how are different formats making the exam so tough for me? Or is it that I took a lot of time to get used to the new format?
I am planning to apply to top b-schools (US and Europe top 20) in round 1 in Sep '24.
I have 7 yrs of experience in tech product management, B.Tech + M.Tech, and am Indian. I have also been working on an independent blog and Youtube channel (extra-curriculars).
I understand my score (highest score 680) is on the lower side, given that Indian applications are so competitive.
However, I am not sure whether I should retake the GMAT or try GRE since my main issue seems to be with DI? Or do you think I should apply with the current highest score I have?
Please help. Appreciate any suggestions.
