Hi lana27,

Since you know which Schools you plan to apply to, you should be able to research them all in more detail to see how your Official GMAT Score compares. Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they don't use the IR score as part of the application process, you have nothing to worry about there. As long as your AWA is a 4.0 or higher, you don't have a problem there either.

First of all thanks y'all, that is reassuring! I guess I'm just worried that even though they say that IR doesn't really matter, they still might see how poorly I did and subconsciously hold it against me? Is that realistic to think or am I just being paranoid?

IR might come into consideration if you are competing against an applicant who has the same profile, same academics, same achievements etc.
I do not think so that will be the case. So you should go ahead and apply!

Hi lana27,

I have never heard of an applicant getting rejected because of an IR score, so you really have nothing to worry about in that regard.
