Hi Anjoom.
I'm not an admissions expert. So, since your score is in line with the averages of the schools on your list, it's hard for me to say whether you should retake.
At the same time, I can give you some ideas for scoring 740+ if you do decide to retake.
Ideally, you'd drive your quant score to Q49+. To do so, you could work on your less strong areas of quant one at a time. To master an area, first review the relevant concepts and strategies and then answer practice questions in that area until you get them correct close to 100 percent of the time.
Then, you would move on to another area and do the same thing.
It generally works best to start off practicing a quant topic untimed and shoot for close to 100 percent accuracy and long streaks of correct answers. Then, once you've achieved high accuracy, you can work the time per question down to test pace.
Also, you can likely drive your quant score higher by simply improving your overall accuracy. For some insights into how to do so, see the following post.
Improving Your Accuracy on the GMATTo get the rest of the way to 740+, you could push your verbal score up a point or two more. For insights into how to increase your verbal score, see the following posts, which discuss in depth how to effectively prepare for GMAT verbal.
