EMPOWERgmatRichC thanks for the advice.

To answer your questions -

Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week? 30 - 40 hours a week
2) What study materials have you used so far? I am using the Manhattan GMAT books, attempting questions here on the GMAT Club tests
I have completed quant and now practicing all level questions
I just started verbal today

3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

One thing I noticed was GMAT club tests questions were tougher than the questions I saw in Manhattan books
I have just taken individual quant tests, out of which my scores are correct - 88% in 500s, 76% in 600s & 66% in 700s

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
730 - 740
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
I am planning to apply on R1s for next years admit, I added some schools in my profile but I’m open to more schools.

Hi ogmega,

If you've been studying consistently for the last month, then you really MUST take a FULL-LENGTH CAT/mock (including the Essay and IR sections) sometime soon (perhaps this weekend). That initial diagnostic CAT is important - it helps to define your strengths and weaknesses and gives you a basis for comparison as you continue to study. Most Test Takers are not happy with that first CAT result, but that's not a big deal - the extra months of available study time are there so that you can IMPROVE on this initial practice result. Once you have your Score, you should post back here (you can also feel free to PM me directly) and we can discuss the results and how best to proceed with your studies.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Hi ogmega

Given that you’ve put in two months of solid studying, I think you should keep pressing forward with your GMAT prep. WIth that said, I’m also curious to know your updated baseline score. Are you able to take an MBA.com practice exam and report back with your score breakdown?

I haven't worked my way to verbal - I only did quant since I have time and don't want to leave any gaps.
As I mentioned, I have just started verbal but as far as I remember I was doing a 590 on a full length test (1 year back ) with no studying.

Understood. When do you plan to take your next practice test?
