I know there are several similar threads going on now, but I'd really appreciate any thoughts on my options.
I have been admitted to Columbia with no $$, and to Ross with a significant scholarship.
I am looking to work in general management or marketing, and definitely NOT finance. I have never lived in either region and would welcome both locations. I am most interested in the strength of recruiting options and alumni network. I keep hearing about how much people love the Ross experience and the scholarship would certainly take off a lot of pressure, but I just wonder if the Columbia brand is worth the extra money in the long run?

I would go with Ross with scholarship. If you do not want to go into banking, I don't think CBS will provide you with any advantage in any other areas. Ross arguably has a better general management program/reputation and connections with recruitors. Ann Arbor is also a much cheaper place to live.
If you don't mind living in a small midwest college town, I would recommend Ross.

Given your post-MBA career goals I would choose Ross +$$.
I would advise you to visit both of these schools and talk to students pursuing area of interest.
I am an international student, so I would not mind visiting USA for a week and get intouch with both programs and make a decision.
About brand names:
During the crises, due to brand name companies in my resume I was less attractive (becaase high brands are often associated with demand for higher salary) to potential employers. While my friends with not-top-brands were more flexible and more desired. They were perceived as less capricious guys.
