Hi Guys,
I am pursuing my MBA at Sacred Heart University, Luxembourg. I decided to post about this unique program because most of the people just run behind rankings and some are too much brand conscious. For me, my priorities before choosing an MBA was quality, ROI and strategic position of the business school.
I got admission last year to some of the top business schools, but my investment for those MBA programs left me with a lot of uncertainty. What if I don't get an internship, what if I cannot stay back in the foreign country I am studying. So then I started my research for a good school which was the right fit for me. That's how I found Sacred Heart University, Luxembourg. Within just 5 months of joining the program, 100% of the students got placed at Top companies for 9 months Internship. Myself working for one of the "Big Four".
So what makes this MBA Unique? This marketing is done on a personal note, I personally have no Gains from this post.
Luxembourg - According to IMF, is the second richest country in the world. Languages used French, German, Luxembourgish, English. Highly multi-cultural. Located between France, Germany and Belgium.
About the School - It is a non-profit organisation with an AASCB accreditation. Luxembourg campus is located inside the Chamber of Commerce. Luxembourg is a strategic position for most of the companies from Amazon to JP Morgan.
The only business school in Luxembourg offering MBA - so the students are in high demand. The professors are of high quality who come to teach the students from Top companies and from different countries. The average age of the class is 35 with people who are in the age group of 21-45. So the width of the discussion is great! Students have a wide range of domain expertise from banking, consulting, audit, strategy, marketing, operations and niche technological domains. Students all over from the world share the class and ideas.
About the Program - MBA with Internship - Class size is small. It has a mix of students from different programs. It is a practical mba program which makes students equipped for working. The pre-requisite courses start in July and the main courses start in September. The internship starts in November/December and lasts for 9 months-1 year. The MBA is a 18 month program and the classes are from 6.30-9.30 weekdays and sometimes in the weekends. It is quite an intensive program because students work in the morning fulltime and attend classes in the evening. Students in the class are typically between 21-45. GMAT is highly considered and also the diversity that is brought into the class. People with no experience are admitted but with good GMAT and good background. After the program the students get a 2 year work permit which ensures that the students get the opportunity to work in an international environment. Whether or not, you get admitted is a combined evaluation of GMAT, work experience, background and value to the organisation. So let me know if you have any questions.
