Just go see what the past #1 Stanford students do (e.g. Roelof Botha, Paypal CFO).

I wonder if MBA grads that graduate at the top of their class planned on finishing #1 from the very beginning. I mean, MBA life is busy enough. What kind of schedule did these people keep to finish on the top?

Any thoughts?

I image in two cases:

1) One focuses on her grades over anything else (recruting, network, XCs, significant others, etc.)

2) One is simply the gifted among the gifted, and all comes naturally

I guess 1) is true for most Arjay Millers/Bakers and the like, but 2) is the case of the very number ones (proof is they usually accomplish unparalleled things in real life too).

All the Miller scholars are here - https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/commencemen ... olars.html

Google will throw out LinkedIn pages for most of them.

A scholar from 2006 is now a professional blackjack player. I guess that was his dream job!
