Hey guys,
I was admitted to both Columbia and NYU; got some $ from Columbia but didn't receive any $ from NYU. I wrote to NYU to ask for a scholarship and told them about the award I got from Columbia. NYU then asked me to provide them with a document proving the award from Columbia. Should I send NYU the scholarship letter I received from Columbia? Any suggestions?

Are you for real?
You started this, they ask you for evidence to back up your claims, and now you are starting to balk? You should send it if you have any plans of going to NYU, because if you don't you come across as some sort of charlatan. If you want to go to Columbia, it is really up to you, but all they are asking is for evidence to support your claims. Otherwise people could phone up and say "I got 40k at Wharton" and they throw money after a liar.
I am sorry, but the current influx of asinine questions where one iota of common sense would apply rather than consulting some interweb forum is becoming really tiring. Coming soon - "I got an invite to interview? Is this a positive sign?"

Questions is simple, if NYU does give you money, will you choose NYU over CBS? If not, then you're just wasting everyone's time. I highly doubt NYU is gonna give you a full ride just because CBS gave you some money.
